13 people were injured after a massive gas station explosion in Volgograd, Russia.

The second video below, which was shared on Twitter shows the moment when it exploded. You can see a huge mushroom of flames which shot up at the sky. The first video below shows a shorter clip of the explosion from a closer distance.

The report of the fire was made at 12.40pm. 60 firefighters and 19 vehicles responded at the scene.

10 out of 13 people who were injured were taken to hospital, the other 3 refused to be hospitalised. Some of those who were injured also included firefighters who were trying to control the fire.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. However some reports suggest that the fire was started in a fuel tank. Locals also said that the explosion shook the windows of homes all across the city.
