Last Monday, the director-general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said “There will be no return to the old normal for the foreseeable future”

This is because many countries seem to be struggling again to fight Covid-19 after a spike in cases.

But to this, Tedros also added “We need to reach a sustainable situation where we do have adequate control of this virus without shutting down our lives entirely or lurching from lockdown to lockdown,”

According to Tedros, there is no easy way out of this pandemic, and while we wait for the vaccine to be done, we must use the tools available to suppress and control the virus.
