The 2019 edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race has left €4.7 million in Malta’s economy. This is according a study made by Yachting Malta.
The study shows that €2.3 million were spent in Malta from the 940 people who came to Malta because of this event. The remaining €2.5 million is the value of the publicity that Malta got from this event.
The event brings to Malta more then 100 yachts. Furthermore, Transport Minister Ian Borg stated that last year, a total of 1350 yachts visited the Maltese Islands.
This year’s edition is set to start on the 17th of October.
