A Syrian man has been arrested after walking around in public shirtless, without a face-mask and carrying a knife in Hamrun.
The incident happened last Monday at around 5pm in Triq il-Kbira San Ġużepp. The man caught the attention of many people nearby as he was carrying a large knife shirtless and without a face-mask.
Police had to distract the 32-year-old man in order to remove the knife from his hand.
Mutlak Mohammed pleaded not guilty to breaking the public peace, ignoring police orders and not wearing a mask.
However, bail was not requested as he does not have a fixed address.
