Last Wednesday, the customs department arrested a couple arriving from Spain with 14Kg of cannabis and cocaine found in their luggage.
In a statement which the Customs Department made afterwords, they said that they asked the couple to pass their luggage through a scanner from which they found they they were carrying suspicious items.
In one of their suitcases, 7 plastic bags containing cannabis were found, weighing 7.60Kg and in another suitcase, 6 plastic bags weighing 6.35Kg were found. A smaller plastic bag with white powder which later tested positive for cocaine was also found.
The couple was then handed over to police.
